Sometimes I read news stories that remind me of my favorite social science research. Sometimes I read social science papers that reimind me of experiences I've had while living in Lancaster, New Haven, Kenya, or New York. This is where I try to sort it all out.
I am a PhD student in the Department of Political Science at Yale University. Throughout 2006 and 2007, I spent 11 months in Kenya researching issues of how national-level institutions and local governance interact. I am now back in the United States writing my dissertation.
